  2. In March 2021, F-35I's 1st air-to-air kill was from Israel. The target was two Iranian UAVs. F-35I is Israel's semi-custom F-35A Block 3F. Iranian Shahed 171 UAVs were shaped like a scaled-down old-school B2/F-117A stealth bomber and it was detected by Israel's sensors. F-35's fusion sensors are designed for counter stealth. Shahed 171 Simorgh is a full-size copy of the American RQ-170 UAV captured by Iran.
