@lordmike9384 False. The UK paid the price i.e. dismantled Commonwealth custom union, war debt repayment until Dec 2006, and island base rentals in exchange for US support. When Trump exited TPP, the remaining members created CPTPP and when the UK joins it, it creates a preferred trade relationship similar to pre-WW1 conditions. LOL. When the UK joins CPTPP, 7 of 12 members are also Commonwealth members, and Japan was a trade-military ally of the UK before and during the WW1 era. Thanks to Trump's stupidity.

Respect Ukrainian independence and sovereignty in the existing borders. 2. Refrain from the threat or the use of force against Ukraine. 3. Refrain from using economic pressure on Ukraine to influence their politics. 4. Seek immediate Security Council action to provide assistance to Ukraine if they "should become a victim of an act of aggression or an object of a threat of aggression in which nuclear weapons are used". 5. Refrain from the use of nuclear arms against Ukraine. 6. Consult with one another if questions arise regarding those commitments. China and France gave somewhat weaker individual assurances in separate documents. Russia has exited Budapest Memorandum. The US and UK are fulfilling points 4 and 6 in accordance with Ukraine's Budapest Memorandum. Budapest Memorandum's security assurances are weaker than NATO's Article V and EU's Article 42.7. EU's Article 42.7 is nearly toothless without NATO.

Biden is Irish-American (Catholic) hence a higher affinity with Ireland, Poland, and Italy. Trump is a Methodist Protestant with a background from Scotland and Germany, hence a higher affinity with UK and Germany. The United States of America is effectively a prototype for the United States of Europe project.

Like Emmanuel Macron's pro-EU army, your militarized EU argument is flawed since you have not factored in the "Treaty on the Final Settlement with Respect to Germany" that limits Germany's troop numbers up to 370,000 personnel. The Treaty of Versailles has a 100,000 German troop limit. The US has largely nullified Germany's war debts by the 1953 London Agreement. The US is unlikely to bail out Germany, again. Atm, NATO-EU members also guarantee EU Article 42.7. The US disagreed with the UK/France's Treaty of Versailles on Germany and the US implemented "the Marshall plan" after WW2. UK/France has their chance after WW1 and created a socio-economic mess in Germany. 2. EU is resource-poor with an inferior total war of attrition strength when compared to the resource-rich Russian Federation. During WW1, the UK relied on resource-rich Canada and Australia. On military strength, Australia beats Canada. Australia and New Zealand have a single economic market.

From Britannica Entente Cordiale, (April 8, 1904), Anglo-French agreement that, by settling a number of controversial matters, ended antagonisms between Great Britain and France and paved the way for their diplomatic cooperation against German pressures in the decade preceding World War I (1914–18). The agreement in no sense created an alliance and did not entangle Great Britain with a French commitment to Russia (1894).

Unlike Ukraine, Poland is a NATO member with Article V that commits the US/UK nuclear weapons usage in defense of NATO. France does not participate in NATO's nuclear planning mechanisms and its nuclear forces are not formally assigned to NATO. France may call upon its nuclear arsenal if there are threats to its neighbors or allies.

The remaining Polish armed forces used British military hardware. After WW2 with the iron curtain, many Polish refugees in the UK headed to Commonwealth countries e.g. Australia, Canada, and New Zealand. Nazi collaborators can't be avoided, but the fact remains, Poland is the big loser in proportion to its population.

Should one of the Contracting Parties become engaged in hostilities with a European Power in consequence of aggression by the latter against that Contracting Party, the other Contracting Party will at once give the Contracting Party engaged in hostilities all the support and assistance in its power. (not including the secret protocol that specified Germany). Notice "all the support and assistance in its power".

@lordmike9384 Germany's large land army is useless against a maritime power located on an Island. Learn the difference between land army vs maritime warfare . Both UK and Germany fought for air superiority to benefit their respective surface units. The UK has beaten Germany in the air superiority conflict that surrounds the British islands.
