  1. Not all Nordstream pipelines were blown up. Both NS1 and NS2 actually consist of 2 pipelines. After the explosions, one of the NS2 pipes remained functional - technically speaking, because it didn't get approval from Germany. As for Russia's motive to destroy the pipeline: Russia stopped supplying gas via NS due to political reasons (Putin's decision). And Russia was sued for this breach of contracts. Blowing up NordStream can be a way to avoid paying huge fines.
