  1. Tesla's battery is mostly nickel and graphite (carbon, a form of coal) with tiny 2 percent lithium. Australia has lots of graphite, nickel and lithium.

  10. blackice214, Sorry mate, Your Texas example has no bearing for South Australia. Texas energy price can go as low as 6.3 cent/kWh‎ (USD) or 8 cent cent/kWh (AUD). In Sydney, it's around 20 cent/kWh‎ AUD while Adelaide (South Australia's capital) has about 39 cent/kWh (AUD).
