F-15E has a higher potential for growth e.g. duel 29K engines which improves sustained turn rates and acceleration. Later F-15 Advance enables the high angle of attack capability due to existing tail design (i.e. stabilizers extending beyond the engine nozzles) and digital FCS upgrade.

@mannyb7949 Non-TVC F-16 Block 50/52/61/70/72 with digital FCS has crap AoA handling. Non-TVC F-15 Advance with digital FCS has good AoA handling. F-15 Advance is the right choice for USAF's "gen 4.5" fleet.

@mannyb7949 Note that a high G instantaneous turn rate will need good acceleration to recover energy. F-15 Advance is improved high AoA handling.

With the same engine thrust, larger delta wings improve low wing loading while reducing acceleration (energy recovery) capability. Comments from the real F-16 designer http://www.codeonemagazine.com/article.html?item_id=37 F-16 Designer Harry Hillaker Harry Hillaker's statement on low wing loading and wing size... _For example, the drag coefficient of an F-16 is about the same as that of an F-4. However, the F-16 has about one-third the drag of an F-4 in level flight. At angle of attack, it is about one-fifteenth We knew that we wanted low wing loading and high thrust loading. But we also knew that low wing loading means more weight and more drag
