Altitude (relates to air density) vs speed of sound example sea level = 761 MPH 10000 feet = 734 MPH 20000 feet = 701 MPH 30000 feet = 678 MPH 40000 feet = 660 MPH 50000 feet = 660 MPH From USAF's F-35A, "Speed (full internal weapons load) Mach 1.6 (~1,200 mph)" From NASA's FS-006-DFRC, F/A-18 has Mach 1.8 ( 1190 mph ). LM is using 10,000 feet's 734 MPH speed of sound.
