Apart from the obvious fan baiting, the fact is that the main actress is just not pretty enough for the role: her eyes are quite small, no matter how much makeup you use to make them look more expressive and "doe-like", and too far apart from each other. Moreover, her hair look awful. Yes, she can't sing, but her timbre isn't remarkable or interesting: she's just another American girl who sounds like tons of other young American singers. Her voice has no "magic", plus the lyrics have been forcibly adapted "for modern audiences", whatever the heck that's supposed to mean.
