  1. It's too early to say what symptoms this variant actually causes in huge numbers of people, including elderly people. The data from South Africa are not enough yet to say that "we are of the woods". People getting sick in that country are quite young on average, and causes of death are not always properly assessed and registered.

  2. And the fact that admitted patients are getting younger and younger on average doesn't seem good news to me...
