  13.  @TheFLAMEXD  It can look East Asian. But it cannot act like it. And all those dramatic moments were brief little scenes. Then it went "No no. That's too dark. Go back to the bad comedy." Then all the serious stuff was completely forgotten. The horrors of war are not soldiers playing elemental volleyball acting like schoolyard bullies. Or people disappearing. It's onscreen death, murder, PTSD, bloodshed, and dead bodies. It's not bad comedy or aoldiers excercising with power. If it were up to me, I'd show Fire Nation soldiers enslaving and executing people. I'd show them sadistically torturing people for information or for sheer amusement. And the dead bodies would not be skeletons. They'd be freshly burned carcasses or have fresh bloody wounds. I'd show the characters acting MUCH more serious and grown up, and sideline most of the comedy. And Aang would give up his feelings for Katarra to save the world. Then spent the rest of his life alone and unloved as penence for deciding that fun and games was more important than duty 100 years ago Now, you may think this is too dark for kids. I say different. I was allowed to watch violent crime noir movies when I was 3. I was allowed to watch people getting killed via gunfire when I was a toddler. And I turned out jut fine. It showed me that life is not just fun and games. It showed me that there is cruelty and injustice in the world. That adulthood waits for NO ONE. And years later, I see so many children in adult bodies who blame unpopular minorities for their failure to be adults, which leads to the people we have elected to be in office. And this attitude is born from people thinking that life will be fair and easy. Where do you think this comes from? It comes from mollycoddling. And that's what Nik's phony anime does.
