@Dankman9 Well, with 300, it's innacuracies come from that it comes from an in-universe narrator who tells the story as he saw it, not from a historical perspective. As for Anastasia, at the time of release, no one knew if she had lived or died. Her body was not found until the early 2000's.

There's also Saving Mr. Banks. Where PL Traverse liked Disney's Mary Poppins despite in real life, she hated the film and viewed as a complete slap in the face to her cherished book.

+Valrock Mograth But still, Mel Gibson seems to suck out all truth in his movies based on history.

SantomPh The whole movie is like one big glass of Scottish beer to me. And what you've typed is just page one of the inaccuracies.

@b3ygghsas Here are some quotes by Miller himself about the Middle-East during his time writing "Holy Terror". "I can tell you squat about Islamism. But I know a lot about Al-Quada, and they need to burn in hell." "Propaganda has, over time, become a pejorative term. News objectivity is a 20th century myth. We only complain about propaganda when we don't agree with it." "For some reason, nobody seems to be talking about who we're up against, and the 6th century barbarism that they actually represent. I'm speaking into a microphone that could never be a part of their culture."

+Mz. Guyarican It still pissed off the real life Powaten tribe.

Well to be fair, it was released BEFORE 2012.

***** Running away from it or denying it's existence doesn't help. Otherwise another might be made.

***** Bad movies must never be ignored or forgotten. Or else how will you learn not to repeat them, or what to do if you remake it?

lonewolf colin Am I the only one who thought the rapping dog was pretty funny?

***** And hey, it's better then Rebbecca Black's Friday. Worst song and singer and I've ever encountered.

Not if it's mythology and not history.

+Katelynn Mudgett If you want a more accurate depiction of the Jamestown settlement , check out Terrence Malick's The New World. While it's very artsy and there are still differences in characters ages, it portrays the settlement and relationship between natives and settlers in a more grey vs grey light and maintains her actual fate.

tatswatshesaid890 I guess people can't handle the truth.

+TheBrickMasterB If you read your history books you'd do the same thing.

***** Every country has been demonized you vile fool. It's all from a writer's view. America however was rarely demonized in Hollywood and by the start of the 21st century it became more and more demonized.

My thoughts 10: I like the movie, but I wish the Canadians got some more credit 9. Never saw it but I know the history. Don't have much opinions on it 8. Her body was not found until years after the movies release so it still was not known if she lived or died back then. It's good but not great 7. Just junk food for men 6. Interesting to know the facts, but I still love the movie 5. I have not seen the movie yet. Have mixed feelings 4. Never saw it. Mixed feelings 3. Once again, Junk food for men, Scottish men actually 2. Never saw it. Have mixed feelings 1. Most historically inaccurate movie I ever saw. I like it's morals, type of story, art and animation but the use of real names is too much of a put down. If you want a more accurate depiction of the Jamestown settlement , check out Terrence Malick's The New World. While it's very artsy and there are still differences in characters ages, it portrays the settlement and relationship between natives and settlers in a more grey vs grey light and maintains her actual fate.

Dorian Leakey I was acknowledging what he typed was accurate but also said there are a lot mroe then that.

varanid9 What are you talking about? I never saw a more historical inaccurate movie then Braveheart... except Pocahontas.

@luceret No wonder he's a racist lunatic.
1
Yeah. Until you get tired of all the action and want the drama back.

Dishonor? Honor is for the living. The dead have no need for it.

And America was not a heroic faction in the revolution. In fact the colonies rebelled not out of a desire for freedom and patriotism, but because colonial land owners wanted more power and influence in their territories, but the British kept them away that power. That's right, America was a nation that valued elitism from the beginning, a nation that was born bad. But we can change it.

No, they don't.

That's the Czar's fault. A tyrant's kid should not be held responsible.

Actually, that movies disliked because it's too accurate.

@thomasdrivas5317 Well, when you have somethings that's unconfirmed by history, I think you can take liberties with that. But the rest of the movie was too accurate to history. Just goes to show, being accurate to history does not gurantee it'll be good. For example, Apollo 13 took a big liberty with the mindsets of the astronauts and Houston crew. We see people lose their tempers often and yell at each other. In reality EVERYONE was calm and kept their cool. Admitingly, the fact that everyone kept their cool in a life threatening scenario is amazing, but for a movie, it might get boring.
