  2. KCHolmes24 Your right. Vampire and werewolf may have mythology, but like pop culture, it differs from culture to culture and religion to religion. You can pick from what you know or make up stuff.   You know, personally I think people who fuss and rant about Twilight are immature vampire and werewolf fanboys and fangirls who are too passionate about the mythical monsters and are scared to admit that in real life, people  make similar mistakes to the ones the characters in the books and movies do. Plus I think their more annoying then Twilight. my response to the books and movies were. "Meh" (Shrug)

  3. ***** Right you are. Today every fan and critic wishes to be snarky. I have found loopholes in countless arguments on why people consider a movie bad and it's making me think that fandoms today are filled with weak willed man-children who whine at everything.

  7. Barghaest In real life, people make the same mistakes as the characters in the book and movie and do similar things as the characters in the books and movies albeit the supernatural stuff. It's a simple fact of life.

  9. Hawk Girl But there still must be an indication that they are vampires. A person can penetrate skin and draw blood with their teeth if they bite hard enough.

  10. Hawk Girl There are people in the real world with pale skin and people in the real world that cannot be in sunlight. And no one pays attention to a person's eye color. It takes more then just appearance to convince me someone is a vampire. Now if they move very fast, can leap from place to place in an eye blink and drink blood, I'm convinced. But what really ticks me about people who get upset about Twilight is that they are getting all crazy over a fictional creature. There really are no rules when it comes to Vampires. So much different lore exists from countless cultures. Just pick what you want from what you know and go with it. And if the plot demands it, make new rules for them.

  11. Hawk Girl It's not that their not agreeing with me, it's that their getting to emotional with Vampires and Werewolves. Species they think should be portrayed as villains and enemies of humanity. And what starts as dissatisfaction with something fake, could easily transfer into the real world if neglected.

  13. Hawk Girl I know that. But the plot of Twilight demands Vampires appearing in daylight. How are the exposed in sunlight without getting fried. There must be SOME indication.

  17. TOUGHTRAIL In reality the same mistakes the protagonist makes are made by people all over the globe. And the same mistakes the other characters make are repeated allover the globe as well. It is as simple as that.

  19. ***** A Werewolf is a werewolf regardless of rules. Werewolf lore comes from many different countries, each with it's own lore and in some lore it says they can change at will.

  23. Claudio Salanti Werewolf and Vampire lore is so varied and differ from culture to culture so their really are no rules. You just pick what you want from all the lore you can find.

  24. Claudio Salanti But we know very little of the initial lore. It's passed from country to country, culture to culture, religion to religion and it's changed with each one. When something spreads across the globe and meets new cultures or religions, it changes to suit that religions or cultures views. Just like language changes over time, so does mythology.

Hawk Girl Frankly, I think that anti-twilight people are scared and paranoid people who are afraid to admit that in real life, the same mistakes the characters make in the book and movies, are the same mistakes that people make in reality. That and they cannot comprehend the idea of a vampire being a hero.

  32. ***** North America has it's own werewolf lore and so does every other continent were wolves can be found. There really are no werewolf rules.
