Well only Anubis can give you permission to enter the Afterlife. I think even the Ancient Egyptians knew that there is no such thing as a pure of heart life.

There's a movie called "What Dreams May Come" which depicts both Heaven and Hell in that way. In Heaven, everyone is the ruler of his or her own heaven and manipulate it to be whatever he or she want it to be. Though he or she can still interact with friends and loved ones who are also dead. In Hell, everyone is the sole prisoner of his or her own personal hell.

Well there's only one way to know what's after death, but it's a one way trip.

Well most Egyptians were farmers. Maybe to them, this was paradise.
2
If you were a farmer all your life, you might think differently.
2
Well most Egyptians were farmers. So this probably would be considered paradise to them.
2
I dunno but the Book of the Dead has been translated into many other languages including English and you can find a copy at a bookstore in the religion or mythology sections.

It's sad what Egypt has become today. Ancient Egypt was a cradle of civilization with countless breakthrough's in architecture, math, writing, and it even had a decent educational system for it's time. Without Ancient Egypt, we'd be nothing. Goodness knows what the Pharoah's would have said if they saw what's been going on.
1
Everything we know about Ancient Egypt was a a product of it's time.
1
I already know that.
1
Interesting.
1
I don't care what people say, loved it.
1
Most Egyptians were farmers, so this probably would be paradise to them.
1
The Bible didn't exist in the time of Ancient Egypt, neither did the Quran or Torah. Non of the three Abramic faiths existed in the time of Ancient Egypt.
1
This is not Christianity.
1
Christianity didn't even exist yet. Ancient Egypt predates it by thousands of years.
1
And I suppose you also think the earth is flat?
1
My research of Egypt mentioned little to nothing about Moses. I don't believe Exodus is true. And my research comes from the Oxford Encyclopedia of Egypt.
1
Nothing in any life is free.
1
To the Egyptians, farming was their way of life.
1
I've always found polytheistic religions far more fascinating than monotheistic ones.
1
Nothing is free.
1
To a farmer, that's probably an ideal afterlife.
1
Not if you are a farmer while alive.
1
I like the idea of working in the afterlife. I want eternity to be productive, not something you let pass by.
1
Says a person who's user name is someone who brought famine.
1
If you were a farmer in life, that afterlife probably isn't bad.
1
To a warrior, Valahalla is ideal, but to a farmer, this is ideal.
1
I agree.
1
Well 90% of ancient egyptians were farmers, so farming was their way of life.
1
Well if you are a farmer, I beat you'd enjoy an afterlife like this.
1
@vidmaster011 If you're a farmer all your life, which is what most Egyptians were, this would be paradise.
1
Still better then the traditional view of the afterlife.
1
Oh, this religion existed LOOOOOONG before the three Abramic faiths,
1
@thesmartpotato1854 So the initial comment is irrelevant.
1
Not if you are a family in reality.
1
Not if you're a farmer.
1
To farmers, farming is their way of life. So maybe that would not be bad for them.
1
Don't underestimate the value of hard work.
1
If you're a farmer in life, which most Egyptians were, this would be great. Besides, it's better than doing nothing.
1
I know. The Egyptians were very specific.
1
Well most Egyptians were farmers so to them this probably would be paradise.
1
Jesus did not exist yet.
1
This is Egyptian mythology, not Christianity. Egyptian mythology existed LOOOOOOOONG before the three abramic faiths.
