  1. I approve of the subculture. These are just Chinese people trying to express themselves the way they want in a society where conformity and uniformity is mandatory. Okay so maybe their taste or style isn't sophisticated but at least they are happy and proud. But of course anything that isn't "acceptable" to mainstream Chinese culture is often beaten down and ostracized. It reminds me of the image bands of Japan like L'arc en Ciel from the 1990s. People who grew up in the 1990s knows of Visual Kei bands of Japan.

  2. 996 is modern slavery. I'm so glad so many Chinese people are waking up to the oppressive conditions imposed on them by the CCP overlords. No independent labor rights organization means people are prone to exploitation. But 100s of millions of Chinese workers are still chained practically to their workplace like modern day slaves. For the people to be free, the broken oppressive system needs to be destroyed.

  3. Cults are scary. I have met people that I used to know before and after they joined a cult. The change in their personalty and behavior is drastic. It's like the person you use to know isn't there anymore but is replaced by someone else in the body. Cults usually engage in a passive form of brainwashing and indoctrination thru repetition of propaganda materials. If you are a moderately intelligent person reading a cult material for the first time, you would think that whoever wrote the materials have mental illness. However for cult members who are fully indoctrinated, their thinking process is so warp they wouldn't think the cult's material is crazy. It's like their minds fully accepted the materials without passing thru logic processing. Also for cult members, they view the cult's hierarchy or leadership the same way they view their parents or siblings. It's like warmth or kinship but it is artificial and often they would justify abuse as "normal". This is why often ex-cult members require professional deprogramming to get back to normal. The damage to their world views and mental processes are real.

  4. HK police before 2014 used to be perceived as one of the most prestigious and professional police force in the world. After 2018 it is one of the most hated police force in the world. The CCP has destroyed HK. The CCP corrupts and destroys everything that is good and beautiful in the world.
