  8. Fanaticism is dangerous because people become blinded to the actions of the leaders they are supporting. Their supported leader can do no wrong. This creates what is called a "cult of personality". This kind of phenomenon creates the conditions for an autocratic dictatorship. When people becomes fanatics, this means any and all kinds of abuse can be forgiven, once that happens there is no more accountability.
