  8. I saw one video where there are literally a mountain of garbage produces by a community in Shanghai due to the lockdown. The garbage wasn't collected for weeks to almost a month now. It was pretty disgusting. The guy who filmed it commented they are running out of room to store their garbage so the garbage are spilled out everywhere.

Even if you protest the regime, it can easily arrest/murder/silence you with impunity. There is no separation of branches of government (executive, legislative or judiciary) all are one and the same in the CCP. There used to be institutional rule but those have been destroyed (2010 - 2015) with Xi's great purges. Those who are at the top have either 1.) invested decades/their whole lives into the system that they ARE practically part of the system (the so called Tuanpai or the "Communist Youth League") like Hu Jintao. 2.) family relations (the so called "red guard" princelings in which Xi was part of). 3.) business elites (the so called Shanghai gang/clique) which Jiang Jemin is a part of.

Apparently today they revised it to 4.4% growth as reported by IMF. The real growth data maybe only 2-3% or even 0% but that is not tolerable as Xi will be "rubber stamped elected" this year.

  13. The only western banks and mortgage firms who are saying everything is peachy are western banks/institutions with severely vulnerable investments in the PRC. When the Ponzi scheme goes belly up, these Wall Street firms stands to lose everything they have invested in China. These aren't small banks in the US but huge investment firms like Blackrock. The CCP can confiscate Wall Street's investment in the PRC at any given time and they won't even receive an apology. And I agree, the problem of imitation, cloning and lack of copyright in China has destroyed any hope of China having a thriving GMO food industry since people will simply just steal IP and tech from each other leading to losses by the original. Who wants to spent billions innovating and inventing a new breed of crops when another Chinese company can simply steal the seed design and flood the market with it leading to the original company with massive losses. They are too afraid to offend the CCP because of their business interest connection to China. The US mainstream media needs advertisers for their bread and butter and often their biggest advertisers in the US all have business interests in China so the CCP is able to control /influence the narrative of the US mainstream media thru these corporate connections. It is up to people like you and a few others to discuss topics that the US mainstream media finds taboo. One Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) member was even caught on video bragging how they are able to influence decision making at the highest echelons of the US government thru these business connections.

  34. What she is saying is it is people that innovate not machines. Fewer people in the work force means fewer innovations. Fewer innovations means lower advancement and productivity. On top of that a growing elderly population means the state has to divert more and more money and resources to take care of those elderly. Imagine an elderly population of 450 million that is 1/3rd of the population. If the CCP do not take care of the elderly then these people will revolt. What is the CCP gonna do? Kill their own fathers and mothers?
