  1. Huawei is finished. They cannot even make their own CPU. The sanction pretty much means TSMC cannot make Kirin CPU for Huawei. What are they gonna sell? My bet the number #1 in China will probably be BBK, Samsung, Apple or Xiaomi. Sure they can try to make 5nn chips, SMIC certainly is trying but they don’t have the tech yet. The semiconductor lithography machines are mostly made in the Netherlands, the sanctions prevents Netherlands from selling any 5nn lithography machines to Huawei or SMIC.
