  1. They aren't building houses that people can live in. Most of those empty concrete structures are unlivable. They are just that -- huge empty concrete structures, utterly worthless. There's entire cities full of them.

  2. Yes this is a systemic issue. I first heard of this issue as early as 2010 (but everyone was like it's gonna be fine) but I knew this will eventually come to haunt the PRC economy, who knew in just 12 years it's wrecking the PRC economy.

  4. Well it's the result of a few things -- excessive greed, lack of transparency and check and balance, the myth that such kind of "speculative investing" can go on forever.

  5. They are printing money. The PRC are printing 4x the amount of currency than even the US government.

  7. You have to realize Evergrande is just one out of the dozens of defaulting real estate Ponzi scheme companies. There are dozens of them and almost all of them are nearly defaulting or bankrupt. The system created this. No amount of money will be able to bail the industry out.

  8. This is why no Taiwanese wants unification with China. One look at the PRC CCP system and everyone is scared silly.
