  1. Yep. There's no scenario where Putin wins. But due to his arrogance he won't just give up. Putin basically turned the war into a genocidal campaign with indiscriminate murder of Ukrainian civilians. If Putin gave up he knows he is finished especially with the number of Russian soldiers being shipped back home in body bags (rough estimate 3000-6,000 depending on who you believe). If you think 3,000-6,000 is a small number...that's 3000-6000 in 2 weeks. By any measure it's a catastrophic loss of life. By comparison Russia lost about 15,000 soldiers in Afghanistan over 10 years (about 1,500 per year). Not to mention the total cratering of the Russian economy.

  3. Imagine Ukraine was able to do this with just 12 HIMARS. If the US gaves them 50 more HIMARS and the corresponding ammo they could completely turn the tide of battle against the Russians in short order. A lot of strategic analyst have realized the Russian military has been grossly over estimated and is a lot weaker than previously thought. The bigger threat now is the PRC.
