  1. According to an ex-STRATFOR geopolitical analyst I have been listening in on podcast ... China will cease to exist as a sovereign state as it is in about 10 years. Just 5 years ago the analysis was the chance of China invading Taiwan is about less than 5%, today the prediction has risen to 30% so yeah... war between Taiwan/US allies and China maybe inevitable in the very near future. 30% chance of war in the Taiwan strait is pretty dire. The political calculus has drastically changed, the thinking then was "time is on our side, we will take Taiwan without firing a shot by 2050". Nowadays the political calculus is "if we don't take Taiwan now we might not have the financial and manpower to do so by 2050".
