Only 8,500+ Fins lived in Karelia before the war. this means about 4% .Russian people are native Karelian citizens. Petrozavodsk got status of a town in 1703. Kizhi from 17 centure, Solovetsky monastery from 1462.Russian built villages there from 11 centures or earlier. This time Finlandia was under Sweden, Finnish people were not allowed even to teach their kids native language and do documents. If it weren't Russian Emperia, all Finns would be speaking Swedish now,,

@etpashuijaa2106 1) I am native Russian, and yes, I heard Karelian languageS - a lot of them. I had two friends , I met them in summer kids camp, they were Karelian and did not understood each other. Almost every village has its own Karelian language , and they often don't understand each other. I was explained that before it was difficult to communicate because the deep forest , lakes and impassable swamps between vilages. If their languages are simalar, it means nothing. We and Poles have similar slavic languages , and what? 2) You don't know history at all. Peter the Great took Finlandia from Sweeden in 1714. And Finlandia was a part of Russian Emperia up to 1917. Everybody knows it except for you :) google at least before answer :)

@etpashuijaa2106 we wrote about WWII, why I would mention other one.Russians were 86%, and others were Veps, Karelians, and other may be not native nations. The fact that Russians are native in Karelia is that there are stone buildings from 14 century, cities. We also had with other slaves people one tribe centuries ago, and close languages, and what? Russians never had any problems with Karelian or Veps. They develop their culture and languages, nothing dissapeared as you suggested. During finnish occupation your nazi goverment tryed to free land from native Russian people, the same way as German nazi did.

They destoyed all soviet soldiers monuments, and monument to Russian poets and writers who lived 200-300 years ago. May be you know about secret biolaboratories that US situated in Ukraine? @perfectmazda3538 no, the order of events were different. After hunta took power the very first low (next day) - teaching in Russian were forbidden. And then Crimea and Donbass said that it was unacceptable. then they are going to get independance. In Kharkiv was the same, Kharkiv major was killed.

my dad was in a Finnish concentration camp in Petrozavodsk. there were 5 concentrations camps. Finnish official said it openly thtat slav people would be slaves in the grate finlandia up to Ural

@TheMiksu68 come to Petrozavodsk and ask people, many victims are still alive because they were in finnish concentrations camps as kids. All parents of my friends, all my schoolteachers were there. My dads villige were fired in Vologda regions by finnish army, check where it is. The most horrible things my dad and other saw - it was a hundried of soviet soldiers who were marshed very slowly along the Petrozavodsk streets naked when it was -20C (ywenty fegrees below zero Celcious) and locals had to stay along streets and watch this marsh. A lot of people who saw that are still alive. Also finlandia is responsoble for Leningrad seige where 1 millions of people were killed by hunger. We never forget finnish nazi, even dont dream.
