  1. Unfortunately, many international markets are not as fluid as others. If one buys California or Florida real estate one can divest of it VERY quickly. Most international markets, one needs a lot of skin in the game to purchase real estate. Depending on the area in the US, one can purchase with 3.5 % down or even less. Most latin american countries its a minimum of 30-40% down. It will take a long time to sell if one wants to. It's really a long term process in LA.
