Well, he was raised in the Boston area and his mother was a teacher. So, he was raised with a liberal agenda and then lived in Hollywood for years, so has zero idea on how the rest of the country lives. While he seems like a decent person, I'm sure it opened his eyes being there. I remember back in 2004, I flew to Oklahoma City to pick up a rescue dog I was going to adopt. I had a long flight from California, there were no direct flights to Oklahoma City, and arrived late at night, thinking I wouldn't be able to pick up my rental car. But this was very cheerful, well attired young man, assisted me with the greatest courtesy. He inquired about my flight, inquired if I was visiting family and so on. The cost for the rental car was very inexpensive, he handled the entire transaction quickly and got me on my way. I remembered thinking that I felt that I had entered a different time zone, like I was in the 1950's or so back there was great service.

One can see this in Florida, the government is working directly with foreign governments directly. First time I have seen this in my life, a state bypassing the federal government.

@LanaOkeanes This is the key for most digital nomads, is to get paid for working for an American, Canadian or an European company and living in a country with a less expense standard of living. If one gets paid a local salary, the appeal goes away super fast.

I see this around the globe also. There is a young man on Youtube that talks to people in all areas of London and the UK on what they are wearing. In general, pretty unimpressive what people are wearing.

@isam7928 Most people under 50, were never taught how to dress well. They don't even know how to evaluate a well constructed garment or demand quality. I remember growing up in the late 1970's reading the society pages in the USA. I remember a comment from a UK fashion designer commenting that in the USA, one sees beautifully attired women in society who look like they are dating the gardener. Now women look like the men, that is the problem. I am always one of the best dressed wherever I go.

Exactly. While I am not going to blame an entire generation, since there are some exceptional people ( there always are exceptions to any rule), this is a generation that grew up with the internet, so they think they know everything. Their parents opted out of being disciplinarians and opted out to be friends. By doing this, they have disrupted a social order that has existed for generations. When I first entered my career ( Real Estate) in 1989 I didn't know squat, I relied on experienced other people in my profession to learn and grow from. Today, I'm meeting 24-year old entering into my field and they are so arrogant with nothing to back it up with. But there are some that are exceptional and raised with good family values. I'm from California.

@pmb6667 That is true but many places around the world, women and people in general, use more caution of where they go and when they go. I'm not going to walk anywhere by myself at 2 am in the morning. There was a case in Australia of a young Belgium man disappearing after leaving a club and never being seen again. It can happen and does happen.

Have you seen the police there beating on people there, shooting rubber bullets into the residents there? There were people who were going to adopt some dogs in a dog rescue, to prevent people from coming, the police just went in and killed the dogs.

That has been going on a long time in Chicago. I remember years ago ( like the early 1970's) that gang members in the South Side of chicago, would shoot at the L ( subway system) and they stopped doing it when the realized they were killing more people of color.

@raybenoit5238 When Donald Trump was President, he got nailed for talking about certain people in different ethnic groups, and was labeled as a racist. However, Democrats use terms like there are certain demographics, which mean the exact terms that Trump was alluding to. In California, using terms like demographics takes the sting out, but it means the exact same thing. So, people talk in non specifics, so it is a way of coded language.

How big is your dog? If they can go with you on the plane, it is easier.

@LadyIarConnacht I've had my dog certified as an emotional support animal, but the standards did change in January of this year. So, it is up to each individual airline to make its determination. Depending one one's opinions on inoculations of any kind, does one really want to put undue stress on their animals health. In terms of the PCR testing, there is some concern about what is one putting up their nose as well. Some people who own homes in one area, leave their animals behind and have a housesitter care for them and their property while they are gone. Depends on one's relationship with their pets, if that is an option. Frankly, I think the trifecta lifestyle for many people is not realistic unless they have their own plane or private transport.
