@TheElectronicaman Look at Israel and the high rate of vaxed. If there is one group of people that should be against it, it is them. Every country that signed the Nuremberg Convention agreed that there could never be forced vaccination again. Any country that requires it, should be thrown out of the UN, if there was any honesty going on.

@nazfar6700 There are plenty of areas in Canada where you can walk over the border and get into the US. Once there, get a bus, go to airport fly to Mexico

@b__w_4565 Depends on where you live, many states have allowed students to be exempted for years. When I took some college courses about 10 years ago, I had to have proof that I had tetanus shot but nothing else. The present vax is technically not a vaccine and the CDC will not release its research for another 50 years, leading sensible people to say, well I'll wait 50 years to take the shot.

@douwe4549 Merida is a big expat center and it is also a very " safe" place in terms of lack of crime. So, it attracts a certain type of expat. Many of these type of expats feel safer with mask compliance. Often people bring their attitudes with them. The level of mask compliance varies from state to state in Mexico. In general, the average citizen in Mexico gives lip service to the government and goes about their own business. I follow several channels on people who live in Mexico. Jeff Berwick lives in the area around Acapulco, and he is always walking around the streets there with no mask on. So, you may want to look at some of these channels and there are lots of FB expats sites for guidance. Personally there is a big difference between wearing a mask in public areas vs being required to have a vax passport. I was in the hospital in the USA, and once I left my room had to have a mask on. Plus during my month stay, I had to have 11 CV tests, so being state bound does not mean there aren't compliances one need to do. The country of Panama was a big mask compliance country, however at present there are only 130 cases for the entire country and they are removing all restrictions beginning of the year. However, if one goes indoors there will be a mask restriction.

@douwe4549 In my area in California which is a super liberal area, people are starting to avoid mandates and not wearing masks in super markets. So, there is starting to be more of a push back. Some states like Florida are pretty clear that they are not enforcing mandates at all. So, it will be interesting. It's certainly depressing to hear about the Netherlands since compared to other areas of Europe it was more free just a few months ago. A channel for you to watch is Tangerine Travels, young couple who have been in Mexico for the past few years. They covered some recent problems in Tulum and Playa del Carmen. They are located at present in Quertaro, Mexico and noticed that it was fairly mixed with people wearing masks in his most recent video. Best of luck.

@prayunceasingly2029 No, but even though I live in California, I only fly internationally in or out of Florida, less hassle. Probably Texas is fine as well. But if I was flying in internationally I would not fly into NYC or anywhere in California or DC area. Florida is solidly no mandates. Of course one has to show an antigen test, if one is Mexico they offer these everywhere.

Mexico is a good option. You can get an investor visa for about 30k in Nicaragua. There are others too, its a moving landscape. Follow FB groups you will get boots on the ground info.

@None-y2f Expats in Mexico is one. I think there is one centered in Playa del Carmen and others. Target some of areas that you would like to consider. I learned a lot from these different groups. People speak openly about issues like Cartel activity, general safety, things to do. Many people share the residency process, lawyers they recommend, or places for rent. What is really valuable is when Mexican Nationals give their perspective. What I found very interesting was hearing from locals is how polluted the waters are in the Lake Chapala area, a popular expat locale. This is certainly different than the rosy picture one hears from companies like International Living on places to live in Mexico. Some places like San Miguel de Allende are much more expensive than they used to be, but there are other towns close to it that are affordable options. Much will depend on what you want to pay, amenities that you need to have and so forth.

@lm4559 Haven't flown in since then, but the Gov. of Florida has said he is not complying with federal guidelines for vaccination. So, use that as your guideline. You might want to check in with the state of Florida's office. There has been a proposal from the federal govt about having a vaccine passport going from state to state. What that tells me is that there is a realization that certain states- chiefly Florida and Texas- may not be following the mandate. The Gov. has said that he will rerun in 2022, so I don't expect to see much of a change in that state. If this proposal of requiring a passport goes through- don't expect it btw- it is restricting access between the states. That would allow individual states to create barriers for entry. I would be all for the state of Florida not allowing people from other states who vote in a way contrary to the health of their state. We see what has happened in Texas around the Austen area, lots of California transplants moved there due to high cost of living in california. But they still vote in the same way, so the prices have escalated in that area, since they still vote the same way, changing demographics for that area. Recently in my uber liberal area where I live, a woman posted on a social media site about how her daughter was attacked by a homeless man at a gas station. Now her daughter is afraid to go by herself to get gas. Her comment inspired some SJW activist to research this woman, check out where she lived and reported to her supervisor, Turns out that this woman is a teacher, so she got reported to the teacher's union as well. Now, she is under disciplinary action for her Freedom of Speech. Most teachers are democrat voters, so they are going after their own. In addition, recently I had some very liberal clients of mine witness a homeless man threaten to kill a woman who did nothing to him at the beach.

Last time that was proposed, farmers protested and it stopped quick, don't count on it. People in Nicaragua are very effective with their riots.
