a perfect defense for murder? "i didn't kill anyone. that person existed only in my mind." so, does that mean the prison he's being sent to only exists in the juror's mind? and does each juror have a different concept of what that prison would be like. which concept does the convicted murderer experience? all that stuff is nonsense. a product of over-thinking. of course reality and the universe exists outside the mind. we experience new things outside the realm of our previous experiences. how do we know what pain feels like, or an orgasm for that matter, if we never felt these sensations before? how could our mind's make up something we can't even imagaine actually exists?

@DavidJJJ .... i disagree. quantum mechanics proves no such thing. the very word "mechanics" proves the existence of a universe outside our personal experience; outside the mind. without mechanics the universe couldn't exist. there'd be no need for mechanics whatsoever. mechanics brings order to the universe not to our minds. our minds and senations help us navigate and perceive the universe around us. it doesn't CREATE the universe around us.

@wave_particle_ .... i demonstrated the absurdity of believing nothing exists outside the mind.

@abcdef-qk6jf .... i appreciate that. but my comment has nothing to do with criminals. it simply uses that scenerio to demonstrate the absudity in the "argument" that there is no fundemental truth or reality in the universe. or that nothing exists outside the "mind."
