  1. this is just YET another tragic crisis created by the elite so they can increase short term profits at the expense of the lower classes. and when the market collapses they'll just get yet another govt bailout while we continue to suffer. corporations are buying up rental properties across the nation. a single corporation will buy several rental properties in the same market monopolizing that market and price-gouging rental rates. these corporations have now set new standards for qualifing applicants. among them are 3 times the rent in income and non-smokers only. biden just recently signed into law that ALL federaly subsidized housing be NON-SMOKING! but it makes no difference because there's a 3-5 year waiting list just to be considered for federal "affordable" housing. and, surprise, there are no state 'affordable' housing programs that are funded by the u. s govt. go figure.
