in 6th grade i once gave a book report on a book i never read. i based the report on the notes of the inner flap of the book not realizing it was talking about the author not the book. i just kinda got up in front of the class and mumbled my way through it. but i made a glaring mistake at the end announcing the subject of the book was dead when he was still alive. i almost got away with it except one of my classmates noticed my mistake and made an issue of it. the other classmates couldn't have cared less. but all hell broke lose forcing me to come up with a string of lies to corraborate my initial lie. it was all embarrassing and humiliating as hell. i didn't get "officially" caught and ended up getting away with my sinister 6th grade fraud but i never pulled anything like that again!
