history is fairly easy. ancient history, history that's been buried by the sands of time for 1000s of years, is another matter. its not particularly based upon the scientific method of obseravation. we can't observe events that occurred 6000 years ago. seems historians of the ancients must rely on guesses, extrapolation and even wishful thinking. who says cultures must come from other places? why can't they just emerge from the local population? we all know now the jewish culture rose right out of the canaanite peoples who already occupied the land. the jews were just canaanites that adopted a new culturral identity. why couldn't the sumerians have done the same thing? which of course is probably what happened. some historians credit the sumerians with creating the human advancement of civilization. i disagree. in fact, the sumerians began the human CURSE of civilization. civilization has done nothing but corrupt our natural instincts, remove us from our natural environment and introduced humanity to the concepts of elitism, corruption, war, torture and poverty. things that didn't exist before elitist rule took over human affairs. and despite all this evidence to the contrary our rulers still try to convince us that civilized artificiality, corruption and slavery is the greatest thing since sliced bread. and way too many of us still believe the scam.
