i remember thinking the same thing when i first saw this. i was saying, that ain't no "gallactus" i ever saw. but, other than that, i really enjoyed this flick. i always liked spiderman, the human torch (loved the comics where they were pitted against each other) and the silver surfer. i also liked "black bolt" and "medusa." whatever happened to them? they were among the "inhumans" who predated the "x-men." but they were cooler than the silly x-men. why were the x-men allowed to replace the inhumans? that sucked!

i was jeff spicoli in my school. me and about 30 others. never went class unless i was stoned. skipped all the time. one semester in gym class i had 42 absences. still passed. some of my teachers and one vice-principle named hess really, really hated me. 10 years later i met hess, again, and he STILL hated me. whatta guy! the last day of school, in one class a teacher asked the class what we were doing after graduation. i said, "i'm going to california and smoke pot." i was a legend! in high school i was ranked 301st out of a class of 335. in college i had a 3.9 gpa. go figure.

@michaelknapp8961 ... yep, i think you just described every high school on the planet. jocks rule. but i think my school didn't quite fit that mold. at least with me, most everyone, all the so-called "cliques," were kinda cool. i hung out with stoners, jocks, cheerleaders, nerds and brains. most everyone i knew got stoned. and, particularly, the so-called popular chicks, were real cool. to me anyway. i guess i just kinda got along with everybody. never liked the "motorheads" much though. but even most of them were pretty cool, AWAY from their cars.

these silly movie scenes where one person takes on and beats the hell out of multiple bullies is getting a little tiresome. but i bet today's moronic gen-z movie watchers just love it!

@mhwtf5965 ... thanks for the info. memory is a strange thing. i'm basing my conceptions of the "inhumans" on a 50 year old memory that's probably a little muddled. my mom, of course, threw most of comic book collection away but i remember this one comic i had, featuring black bolt, medusa and quasimodo and a few others i can't recall. i just remember those three characters i liked a lot and i never saw again. always wondered why. i do still have a small collection of marvel and dc comics from the early 70s in damned good condition. wonder how much they're worth. i wasn't really ever that much a comic book fanatic but there you go.

taken in context of the actual movie plot this scene is still gruesome as hell but at least explainable. the worst part is the use of lynyrd skynyrd's wonderful song "freebird" in conjunction with all that violence, murder and mayhem. I bet skynyrd didn't agree to it but some disgusting money-hungry corporation made that decision.
