  1. these people are criminals. and stupid one's at that. these people could be voting GOP. they don't know. i'm not a big fan of drop boxes. they should at least be located in front of voting locations and preferably inside the building. there should be an election official there to recieve the ballots and mark off the voters name just like in same-day, location voting. i'm also not a big fan of early voting. here's how it should work. instead of voting day there should be voting week or voting month. (no longer than a month though.) polls remain open from dawn to dusk. 7 days a week for as long as the voting period lasts. people who have trouble voting call a hotline and a PAID election official can come collect their votes verifying their name in the process. voters vote at their leisure not at the govts command. i've been advocating this SANE system for 40 years. guess what? i've been ignored and margainalized for 40 years. go figure.

  2.  @ZMAN_420  ... thanks. i'm not sure if armed guards are required. but why not? although their presence could be interpreted as intimidation. just make them firearm-free-zones. that oughta make the GOP happy. we have to face it. no lasting positive or constructive improvements to our country will ever occur as long as we continue to allow ourselves to be lead by fascists on either side. as long as we continue to do things as we have been for the last century fanaticism, extremism and absurdities will rule us and our country.

  6.  @mslinda8456  ... i'm against "early" voting because no one should be allowed to vote until voting day. all kinds of things could happen to make one change their mind. but if you vote early, you're stuck with your vote and you can't take it back. so extend voting day to a week or several weeks AFTER voting day. NOT BEFORE! this would give EVERYONE a sensible grace period to vote at officially designating polling places. it would reduce lines and waiting times and eliminate the "need" for silly ballot boxes. people will be able to vote at their convenience not only when they're told to. absentee ballotting can stay the same. who says voting has to be done all in one day? give people time to vote! make it easy and convenient and you'll find the numbers of voters increase across the board. why this is such a difficult concept to grasp i have no idea but its the ONLY solution to our curreent ridiculous voting restrictions and linitations. you know rich people aren't the only ones with ideas.
