A. county due to the INSANE property values there, are coming to kern county. america's poor are finding out they're not wanted or being allowed to live ANYWHERE! i live in a very small town and rental rates and property values are astronomical. a small house here is on the market for a HALF A MILLION DOLLARS! or more. and neither side is doing a damned thing to reel in the criminal increase in property values across the country. capitalism is a GREAT BOON for the rich but a HUGE FAILURE for everyone else. and until we accept the fact that greed and unlimited profits for the few are NO legitimate premise on which to base an econmomic system things are only going to get worse!

  5.  @DemoCATicMAN  ... i think you missed my point. the dems won't lower property values any more than the GOP will. both parties are corporate. both are delusional. both play fast and loose with the facts and alter reality for political purposes. and both party's are corrupt. i'll tell you what. i'm 64 years old. and regardless of which political party's in power my life just keeps getting shitier and shitier. i no more want to live in a "leftist" police-state than a "rightest" one. i think we need to RESET everything, politics, ecomonics, culture, to 1965. we were all much better off. but today's youth, conservative and liberal alike, have been so inundated and brainwashed by NON-STOP corporate propaganda they've sold their souls to the "company store." they've even exchanged their OWN FREEDOM for slavery to corporate police-state technology. that's just how sick humanity has become.

  6.  @tonythornley6270  ... you're right. corporations are, right now, buying up homes and rental properties across the country incresing property values and raising rents. the idea is based upon the hope that the govt will just step in and pay the difference. like it does with food and medical care. corporations can charge whatever they want knowing the govt will just help those who can't afford it pay for it. many landlords NOW DEMAND three times the rent in income. this is a corruption of the "affordable housing" rule that landlords charge their tenants rent at 1/3 of the renters income. the govt just pays the difference. now the corporate elite are applying that rule to renters not in affordable housing! they don't adjust the rent to a 1/3 of the renters income but REQUIRE the tenant make 3 times the asking rent in income. this makes rent unaffordable for a large portion of society. its just, yet, ANOTHER capitalist scam the elite are allowed to implement with the blessings of the govt.
