  1. trump's 30,000 lies while in the whitehouse wasn't political? the GOP twice acquitting trump of impeachment when they publicly admitted he was guilty wasn't political? trump continuing to spread the lie that he won the 2020 election isn't political? trump screaming "stop the vote" during the 2020 election wasn't political? trump instigating attacks on school boards, health care woirkers, election officials and congress wasn't political? the extremism, lies, hypocrisy, double standards and situational ethics on both sides is enough to destroy democracy all on their own. but to complain that a politician makes "political" comments is absurd beyond absurd. making political statements is what politicians do. the question isn't whether politicians should or shoudn't make political statements but whether those statements defend fascism or democracy, are divisive and fearmongering or are inclusive and accurate. i'm so sick of this crap. the GOP has fully embraced fascism; its lies, its deflections, its corruption and its violence. and trump is the poster boy of this GOP fascism.
