@fatfat1877 … 1st) the constitution's preamble provides for the "general welfare." it IS the govt's job to protect me, AND each individual, from aggression, predation, violence and the spreading of infectious diseases! in fact that's one of govt's only legitimate reasons to exist. without that protection - the govt has no purpose. 2) now you're telling me that protecting society from the spread of communicable diseases isn't in the public interest or for the common good? that's just too absurd a notion to take seriously. 3) like I said before; the majority doesn't have the right to OPPRESS the minority but it most definitely has the right to decide for the minority and overrule its will for the common good!
