that's federal law. govs get to choose who fills vacated congressional seats. the problem in cali is the whole sytem is a corrupt sham. the govt, the cops and the media all conspire to keep quite all the human rights violations and corruption in this state. i've been harrassed, ripped off and defrauded by landlords, neighbors, police, politicians and the media's been notified hundreds of times by me alone and it refuses to report these scams i'm trying to expose. the u. s. has been taken over by a gang of extremist, corporate thugs who don't give a damn about you or me. all they care about is lying to the public and the cororate police-state they use to control and oppress us. i don't know ONE politician, cop, "journalist' or CEO in this country who isn't corrupted by the fascist corporate state. NOT ONE!

@Mike-gt1cs ... there was nothing more corrupt than reagan, except trump. its reagan's "trickle-down" insanity that created the HUGE wealth gap we're experiencing right now. its reagan and trump, with the help of the dems, who helped the corporations take over the govt and society PERMANENTLY! we're not ruled by any "democratic" govt anymore but by corporations and their fascist CEOs who care nothing about democracy, in fact, they consider democracy a THREAT to their power, corruption and their unearned opulent life-styles!

@80sChick80s ... well, she can't be much worse than the one's already in congress. i'll give her that. but i guess we'll have to wait and see. maybe she'll work miracles and fight against all the hypocrisy, double standards and situstional ethics that permeate the u. s. these days. but i won't hold my breath. oh, btw, is she a she or is she a he? or is she an "undecided?" man this insanity is ABSURD beyond belief.

THAT'S ACTIVISM! right now BOTH SIDES are pushing political agendas so absurd, extreme and fanatical as to PROVOKE an absurd, extreme and fanatical response from the other side. its a political system fueled by identity politics, lies, corruption, favoritism and prejudice. the ruling elite are pitting us against each. we're at each other's throats when we should be UNITING against the corporate fascists who manipulate, enslave and abuse us ALL! the u. s. is so corrupt, this includes states, counties, cities and school boards, that I FEAR for the future of this confused, bewildered and brainwashed country.

california is a hell-hole. its corrupt beyond comprehension. and so is alabama and every other state. for instance, THERE'S NO AFFORADBALE HOUSING! anywhere that i can find. corporations are buying up rental properties across the country, often creating local monopolies where a single corporation owns ALL the rental property in a given area. they raise rents, put ridiculous, prejudicial and illegal demands on tenents meanwhile homelessness is skyrocketing and poverty is rampant. the govt's so busy protecting fanaticism, delusion and the wealth of the rich the rest of us are left to fend for ourselves. yet when we do WE get arrested! here's the corporate solution to poverty and homelessness - PUT THEM ALL IN PRISON! then they won't be homeless anymore and the rich can feel safe!
