its not the "immigration" per se but the level of immigration that's the problem. its gone from a trickle to a flood and has turned into an invasion. so-called "liberal" immigration policies were intended to quell racial and ethnic intolerance but its having the opposite effect. mass immigration isn't creating less intolerance BUT MORE INTOLERANCE! if what you're doing doesn't get the intended response its time to rethink what you're doing. but political leaders don't listen. i see more media coverage of the riots than the cause of the riots. i don't live in ireland but what do i know is that both the right and left have been taken over by an extremism, fanaticism and absurdity unprecedented in history. common sense, common restraint and reality has been replaced with positions so absurd and ridiculous as to create social fear and mistrust. both sides embrace intolerance and violence more and more and govts around the world aren't listening or responding to the wishes or problems of their own people. we keep being told we in the "west" live in democracies but i don't see any true democracies anywhere. corporations and the apathetic and greedy rich who own them dictate social policies pitting citizens against each other as they compete for meager and depleting resources. people are frustrated and desperate to regain some control over their lives, communities and countries.

@willmalin3752 ... i'll go further than that. if trump has nothing to hide then why does he continue to refuse to release his taxes after FIVE YEARS of promising to do so? why does he refuse to release his education records? if trump is so innocent and has nothing to hide then why has he continued to refuse to release govt documents to congress and ORDER his staff and others to defy congressional subpoenas? trump is the epitome of GUILT and he proves it everyday! AMEN TO THAT! evangelicals and leaders of other denominations and religions have been stealing from their followers for centuries. these so-called "leaders" steal billions every year. they live like kings in their mansions and with their private jets. organized religion is a mutli-billion dollar-a-year scam. its not only time to tax these churches but many of these religious con-artists belong in prison!

one if the saddest, most corrupt and most dangerous moments in U. S. history. Every newspaper or news outlet that proclaims trump was acquitted of impeachment is misrepresenting the facts. First off, he was already impeached before the case was sent to the Senate. Second, the Senate didn't find trump innocent. There was no trial. The senate GOP refused to conduct one. And many GOP Senators publicly declared to fix the so-called "trial" in trump's favor even before it began. And trump himself did all he could to cajole, bribe, threaten, and corrupt the Republican Senators, who were to act as his jury, throughout the proceedings. The GOP in the senate just decided and agreed to violate the constitution and cover-up and dismiss trump's crimes and violate their oaths of office. So, no, trump wasn't "acquitted" of anything. he's STILL guilty as hell and he, himself, and all of america and the world KNOWS IT!
