Frederic Bastiat ... thanks for the insult. that's a great way to get me to accept your absurdities. of course there are solutions. just not capitalist ones. capitalism utilizes the ridiculous concept of "trade-offs." there's absolutely no reason to support an economic system that harms one to make better the life of another. equalism calls such insanity "Predanomics." and Predanomics is the economic principle that's ruled humanity and benefitted the elite for more than 6000 years. as an equalism I've discovered its time for a change. its time to do things right for once.

the elite profit from govt subsidies, govt contracts and tax loopholes that don't apply to the rest of us. they also profit from "welfare" programs like medi-care, food-stamps and low-income housing. the elite are the major beneficiaries of all taxation and govt programs. yet they contribute the least to the tax system. I recently heard that some major corporations are not only paying no taxes at all but they're still receiving huge multi-million dollar tax REFUNDS!

@Fadeinwow what fantasy world are you living in? the middle class contribute more, by far, to the financing of the public sector than the elite. and they receive the less benefit for it; their politicians are corrupt, their wages remain stagnant, their benefits decrease, elitist profits, property values and prices skyrocket, the middle class is shrinking yet their debt explodes and work hours increase, their social infrastructure is crumbling and their votes don't count. but the comlen (all the lower classes combined) far outnumber the elite. so the question is - why are the comlen not fighting to protect their own interests and standing up to STOP this corruption?

@johannesbekker1970 … its like the difference between protestors and cops. the cops are PAID to oppress the people. they work shifts and go home at night with a paycheck. but the protestors have jobs other than protesting. they protest on their OWN time and receive no financial rewards for the sacrifice. when they're done protesting they don't go home - THEY GO TO WORK! and this is part of the capitalist system too. our oppressors make their living oppressing us. while the freedom fighters fight out of pure dedication to the principle of human rights. that puts us at even more of a financial disadvantage but it DOES give us the ETHICAL high ground!

excellent talk by wolff yet again. but Universal Basic Income is a capitalist solution to a capitalist problem and there's 2 main problems with it. first, it will lead to greater inflation as the elite counter the measure with higher prices to retrieve the money taken from them through their taxes to fund the program. second, what if the funds to pay for the program are "invested" unwisely? the elite are prone to invest worker pensions in high risk investments that often go bust while investing management pensions in stable low risk ventures. equalism says: history has shown there's no capitalist solutions to capitalist problems. each so-called solution just leads to a host of additional scams. equalism also says - technology was supposed to work for us not against us. this is how the elite sell us their technology generation after generation but the ELITE HAVE LIED to us each generation. what else is new? also, technology should work in conjunction with nature not in opposition to it. the only way to solve capitalist problems is by removing the elite from power. they're the ones who profit from these problems THEY create. so join the equalism movement and lets fix this mess the elite have made for us!

Frederic Bastiat … wrong again sparky. what frustrates me are shills like you who continually defend elitist greed and capitalist poverty even at the expense of their own self interest. oh, and thanks for yet another insult. your ad hominem arguments are really beginning to persuade me to accept your fantasy positions. with a just a few more insults I just may become a full fledged capitalist dolt like you. but probably not. I don't think I could EVER accept the injustice and slavery of your capitalist dystopia.

@Fadeinwow a large number of the elite and their corporations pay no taxes at all. its called tax-sheltering. most of their assets are held in secret, off-shore accounts. they also move their corporate headquarters to countries like Ireland where taxes on corporate profits are virtually non-existent, in the U.S. they pull scams like contributing to their own charities and foundations to avoid taxes, they also pay a lot of bribery to keep these tax loopholes open. they probably pay more in bribery than they do in taxes. their bribery is often tax deductible. is 1% of a million more than 7% of 50 thousand? yes. but that comparison is moot since the system they buy usually allows them to pay no taxes at all. and, through a scam called "depreciation" they're tax refunds far EXCEED any taxes they do pay. the middle class fund the govt. the elite profit from govt. that's the reality of the corrupt world in which we live.

@Fadeinwow your rant defending your elitist slave masters is irrational. the stats clearly show elitist wealth has increased some 500% since the reagan era, while wages for the working class has remained stagnant. which means, due to inflation the middle class has gotten poorer. seriously. you think people would be complaining if they were really getting richer? capitalism doesn't work that way and its not designed to work that way. its designed to make the rich richer and keep the comlen divided. and you're still falling for the elitist lie.

@Fadeinwow … this will be my last response to you. under capitalism the elite ARE the govt - corporations and govt merge into one huge monolithic abomination. with socialism ALL society is democratized; the workplace and govt, the private and public sectors merge for mutual benefit rather than capitalism's exclusive privilege. but more than anything socialism reduces waste and bureaucracy through cooperative effort and the rejection of greed. equalism says; socialism is economic democracy and democracy is political socialism. one can't exist without the other and they both protect individual rights and shun mob rule and the oppression the majority can often wield.

@johannesbekker1970 … man, you got that right. you know I noticed most of these trolls today are trump cultists. they're relentless. they just go on and on and on - like they have nothing better to do. you know, months ago i've concluded most of these are PAID TROLLS! this is their job to spread pro-corporate, pro-elitist and pro-trump misinformation across youtube and the web. its a slick, well oiled FIRE-HOSING network of professional fire-hosers. we MUST stand-up to and engage them whenever we encounter them. but its harder for us because we're NOT paid to do it.
