@at7673 "...creating the timeline that has already unfolded." the only trouble with this train of thought is that the change in history would be perpetual and dependent upon whoever the last person was who went back in time. history would be unstable, in constant flux. which, i guess, it may very well be, but i can't see a reality where the laws of physics would be allowed by nature to be so erratic. i think, if time travel is ever possible, it would be a type where interaction with the time you travel too, forward or backward, would be impossible. the traveler would be in a state of observation not interaction. regardless, it is an interesting subject to think about, ain't it?

@dismalthoughts ... one reason i link q-anon to the mandela effect is because the adherents of both "theories" fanatically defend the nonsense they believe. they both viciously attack anyone who dares challenge their warped world view. when i listen to the mandela effect people, what i here is a conspiracy theory of "govt" entities or agents maliciously altering the time-line for some unknown reason. one problem with this belief is that the proof of these changes still exist. in other words, something was changed, say a corporate logo, but the old logo still exists in past records that prove it was changed. that makes no sense. they can't wrap their heads around the common practice that corporations periodically change their logos. erroneousassociation also, the flawed memories of others often become the standard of what we believe. example - the term "old wive's tale" was altered over the years through common mistaken usage, to say - "old wise tale." so, when its discovered that what our culture has substituted a false usage with the reality people CHOOSE to believe something nefarious and conspiratorial has occurred. possible

@dismalthoughts ... you described that very well. they're called "zealots," right? people who maintain an absolute disdain and intolerance towards personal belief's that differ from their own. they even fear mere exposure to other ideas. i think we're kind of at that point, right now, here in the u. s. from BOTH sides. but more from the trump and q-anon cults than anyone else. but almost all americans, it seems, are guilty of this to some degree. its kinda scary ain't it?

YES! man, i've been leaving that same comment all over youtube. i keep getting attacked for it too. nice to see there are a few of us left with the insight to recognize not only the problem but a major cause of the problem. another problem is that way too few americans understand what "freedom of speech" actually means. it doesn't give anyone the right to just say whatever hate or lies they wish to spread. fraud and violence AREN'T protected speech under ANY circumstance. trump and q-anon are, RIGHT NOW, violating the first amendment and NO ONE is stopping them! trump has violated the constitution more than anyone in recent memory and no one has YET stopped him. what's the point of having a constitution, THE LAW OF THE LAND, if anyone can just violate it at will? like a lot of things having to do with trump, it makes no sense!

yep, if time travel were possible we'd all know it already. UNLESS! they alter the past to cover their tracks. which would mean 40,000 times a second, EVERYDAY, a new past would be created. and none us would know it. in fact, the people going back in time wouldn't even now their own future was altered. a TRUE, basic, stable and consistent reality would cease to exist.
