  12.  @BlazingShackles  ... here's some of the problems with so-called "law enforcement." they can pick and choose what complaints they wish to respond to. (the cops even violate my right to file complaints against my repeat victimizers.) the cops seldom consider misdemeanors as serious crimes. assault and harrasment and other serious crimes are classified as misdemeanors. and a habitual predator can be arrested for and found guilty of 100s of misdemeanor violations without serious consesquences which only encourages them to become repeat offenders and even escalate their crimes. i say after 2 misdemeanor convictions for the same violation, or maybe even for different crimes, the 3rd one automatically becomes a felony. as it is our country is a lawless society ruled by thugs, gangs and predators who terrorize people on a daily basis. and some of these thugs, gangs and predators are cops, politicians and corporate CEOs! and they not only often get away with their crimes but reap financial awards for their crimes!

  32. capitalism corrupts everything. the profit motive corrupts everything. recycling is saving the environment. not for corporate profit. odd how corporations make BILLIONS creating trash and then make BILLIONS "cleaning up" the trash THEY create. in califotnia tpeople NEVER get back the money they pay on those recycling items. the fee stats fixed but the return fluctuates on the market value. and it fluctuates below never higher than what you pay. about 10 years ago i'd get about a $12 return on my garbage bag full of cans. today that's been reduced to about $7. capitalism has proven a TOTAL failure. maybe its time we try a new approach.

  39.  @Wisdom-Nuggets-Tid-Bits  ... tell me about it. for 6 of those years i had no car which limited my ability to find new housing and move. i was too poor to move anyway. it takes MONEY to move and the poor, like me, can't just move at will. lastly, now i have a car but landlords are DEMANDING of every renter 3 times the rent in income. and affordable housing is booked for years! i'm elderly, disabled with absolutely no one to advocate for me! i'm completely on my own. I'M TRAPPED! i'm being tortured and can't ESCAPE my tormentors. THAT'S THE REAL AMERICA!

  45. there's so many issues here to consider. first of all, credit card companies don't accept disputes 3 months after the transaction. they give you 30 days. and you must prove the transactiuon was fraudulant. 99% of the time the CC company will side with the business. its how the CC companies make their money. then there's the phenomenon called "buyers remorse." it can result from mental illness during a manic episode. also, what if the patron needs that money, NOW, for a medical or other emergency unforseen at the time? maybe their child desperately needs an operation. who knows? the reality is this kind of crap is the result of ALL capitalist economic systems. capitalism is based upon conflict and competeition. it pits us AGAINST EACH OTHER! it divides society into "haves and have nots." and its usually the have nots who are forced to FIGHT each other over their daily survival. don't like stories like this? STOP supporting capitalism that causes these kinds of conflicts.

  47. first off - how do they know if you're smoking in your home or not? do they install surveillance cameras inside your home to moniter compliance? all this anti-smoking extremism and fanaticism has gone BERSERK! its just fascism wanting to force conformity and tell others what to do. FIRST, the real dangers of so-called "second hand smoke" IS NONEXISTANT! ITS A TOTAL LIE! now they even talk about BS like third and forth hand smoke. THE INSANITY GROWS! SECOND, the dangers of smoking have been GREATLY exagerated. for instance there's NO evidence that smoking causes cancer. ITS A LIE! THIRD, entire motel chains and apt rental corporations have BANNED smoking entirely on their premises. some cities, santa monica and west hollywood are prime examples, have BANNED all smoking within their city limits!   48.  @ronaldmead7643  ... i agree that the internet is fueled by the knee-jerk reaction of total idiots. they don't think or examine but just react. tv isn't reality. tv producers manipulate their viewers to react to certain stimuli. just like commercials are designed to invoke a particular emotional response from the public. tv shows do the same thing. if this same story was presented in a different way people's reactions would be different. technology is abused by the rich to manipulate us and people continue to fall for the scam! when i see stories like this i usually point out the flaws in the reporting. i don't jump on the delusional knee-jerk bandwagon!
