who ever slapped the bus driver belongs in prison for assault and battery. the driver was just following the LAW! these are the same types of parents who teach their kids to be violent thugs and bullies. tthey praise the violence, guns and disrespect inherent in thug-rap culture. of course the bus driver could've handled the situation better but if JUST ONE kid was let off at the wrong stop she'd be responsible! the entire mess could've been avoided. AND THAT'S THE REAL TRAGEDY HERE! lastly, why is A&E airing this unreality-tv trash?

@mmshorts9146 ... what she was doing was following the law and keeping the kids safe. i can't believe how easily manipulated people are. regardless of how a&e tried to twist the story to make the white bus driver appear evil and mean the bus driver simply refused to release the kids under her care into the hands of strangers. she deserves a metal not condemnation.

@cyagami90 ... the push was against someone trying to illegally board the bus. again, the driver was following procedure and protecting the kids. you have to learn to examine what you see rather than just interpreting it at face value. avoid knee-jerk reactions to media stimuli. mainstream media or independent media - it doesn't matter. most everyone is trying to manipulate you. look beyond what you're being told and question EVERYTHING! that's my advice.

@sarahmallonee ... i didn't see the bus driver attack anyone. if she did it was in defense of the kids which was HER responsibility to keep safe. i think the bus driver deserves a medal for putting up with the BS and threats she had to endure for just doing her job and keeping those kids SAFE!

@Revkor ... the school policy, I HOPE, is to ensure the kids are safe and released into the hands of the proper guardians. that's what the bus driver was trying to do. just another example of someone punished for doing their job CORRECTLY!

@vampire_freak5050 ... the driver wasn't holding anyone hostage. she was protecting the safety of the children in her charge and following the rules set up to protect those kids from harm. she was a TEMP driver. she didn't know these kids or their parents. maybe she could've handled the situation better but it was the parents who overreacted and actually escalated the problem.

even if the "husband" lost his social sceurity statement all hje has to do is call them and they'll send him another one. he's obviously a liar and trying to conceal his finances from the court. the judge knew this and called him on it. i support the judge here. the husband's committing fraud IN COURT and trying to rip-off his "wife." you can't defend that.

@Iphonedylan ... seems overreaction is standard operating procedure these days. seems to me each bus should be assigned one teacher or chaperone to help the driver maintain order and keep things safe for all involved. i mean these bus drivers must have nerves of steal man. but of course this idea is WAY TO GOOD to ever be implemented.

how do you become a "victim advocate?" i'd be good at that. not only that, how do you GET ONE? i need one real bad because i'm being victimized by everyone in sight! even the state medical ombusdmen's office and adult protective services ARE victimizing me by refusing to protect my legal rights. i've been screaming my head off for 16 years! I NEED HELP! and no one will help me. not even those PAID to help me!

@ditzygypsy ... bus drivers, school or public, have an incredibly difficult job. they deal with all kinds of insanity everyday. i sure wouldn't want to deal with bratty kids and unreasonable parents everyday. here's an idea. let's just force all school kids to walk, hitchhike or force their parents to drive them to school. otherwise quit blaming the bus drivers who're only doing their best to do their jobs and keep your kids safe.

@Project_Boom2342 ... it is assault and battery after all. why doesn't any one in this country want to enforce laws anymore? if its the attackers first offense i'll concede 3 to 6 months in jail would be a sufficient punishment. oh, its also an attack on a govt worker in the performance of their official duties. that's supposed to carry a higher penalty. if the attacker had slapped the principle, a teacher or a cop you think they wouldn't have been arrested and prosecuted? of course they would. why's a school bus driver any less protected? i thought we lived in a country where NO ONE is above the law. ya, right.
