@keirfarnum6811 ... excellent history lesson. but what you described in your comment should give the dems and the "liberals" MORE resolve not less. when i'm wronged or victimized in some way, and it happens a lot, it makes me more determined to seek justice not less determined. the u. s. is a "left" leaning country. the democratic party alone, outnumbers the GOP by several million nationwide. yet the dems have sat back and allowed the minority GOP to rule us at the federal level and to rig elections so they control many states where they're a clear minority. here's one thing the fascists in the GOP do that the dems and the left don't do. they hold these national conferences, like CPAC, where they organize, share ideas and implement plans to keep control over the messaging. they do this through numerous venues several times a year. even the white supremists hold their annual meetings. they tell their members how to take over and corrupt local politics, local school boards and election committees. where's the equivalent on the left? the left hold random marches about single issues that have little effect on anything! rather than organize at the grass roots level to get people politically involved. this lack of leadership and creativity is just ONE reason i left the left. and since the right is wrong there's no political arena that represents me. so, i founded a new and innovative philosophy for all those people who feel abandoned and betrayed by the left and right. that philosophy is called "equalism" and it stands as our only REAL hope for democracy and hope in the world. as is clearly being demonstrated around this TOTALLY messed up planet today.
