trump may have, finally, done something good in his life. despite how unintentional it may have been, trump may have, singlehandedly, destroyed the GOP. reagan couldn't do it. the bushes couldn't do it. it took a gangster and tv-game-show host like trump to destroy the GOP while at the same time claiming to SAVE IT! it was a decades long, slow painful process but the party of Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt and Eisenhower finally degenerated into the criminal enterprise of trump, mcconnel, mccarthy, graham, gaetz and boebert before our very eyes. man i saw that coming decades ago.

@derrillyager7946 ... the only way i can think of to remove corruption from ALL of society is to remove the incentive to be corrupt. and MONEY is that incentive. as long as there's profits to be made and wealth to accumulate we're gonna be ruled by corrupt, unscrupulous gangsters.

@derrillyager7946 ... you're not being too optimistic. but perhaps a little naïve. the accumulation of wealth, itself, is unhonorable. there's an old saying - behind every great fortune is a great crime. you can't get rich without first selling your soul; violating ethics and disregarding empathy. when you remove the incentive to be corrupt, you remove the corruption. and money, privilege and power are the incentives for corruption.

the dems are just as responsible for this 40 year GOP crime spree as the GOP is. they continue to refuse to prosecute the crimes of the GOP. whenever the dems take power they never pursue justice or accountability for GOP crimes. biden and garland are doing this right now. biden, as clinton and obama before him, were elected, largely, based on their promises to hold the previous GOP administrations culpable for their crimes. and they NEVER follow through on those promises. both parties are corrupt as hell. which is why i NEVER vote for either party. the trump campaigns were the only exceptions. i knew trump was the biggest american gangster of the last 40 years. it was imperative that he NEVER get into the white house. and look what happened when they ignored all decorum, common decency, rules and laws and let him in anyway. 4 years of utter chaos, mayhem, absurdities, lies, treason and lawlessness. thanks DEMS!

@derrillyager7946 ... i have no intention, as trump and his cult did, of violating or discarding the constitution. i want the constitution ENFORCED. and maybe tweaked a little here and there. and socialism is the only way to actually equally and justly enforce the constitution. capitalist greed and pursuit of wealth is what corrupts people. you remove those incentives for corruption and you remove the corruption.

@Pavellyartist ... i think you misinterpreted my comment. those who allow crimes to go unpunished are just as guilty of those crimes as those who committed them. the dems have a 40 year history of allowing GOP crimes to go unpunished. so, the GOP's 40 year crime spree is just as much the fault of the dems as the GOP.

@theraweggfiles ... i agree. many of the misguided and corrupted GOP voters actually DEMAND that their "leadership" act as gangsters, fanatical fascists and traitors. many of these same GOP voters think death threats, threats of civil war and circumventing the constitution are legitimate forms of protest and means to gain power. since the end of wwll the "conservative" factions of american politics have become increasingly more devious, underhanded and untrustworthy. unfortunately, over the last few decades, the "liberals" have decided to adopt many of the same fascist tactics and strategies. humanity is now being threatened with fascism from right and left. and i denounce this fascism regardless of which side its coming from. knowing what fascism actually is, fascism scares the hell out of me and i want NO part of it.
