what i don't understand is why fox news gets away with all the fraud they commit on a daily basis. fraud is still illegal in this country and the first amendment DOESN'T protect fraud! i guess they get away with it the same way trump's gotten away with all his crimes the last 45 years and continues to do so. since reagan, the dems have allowed the "right" to get away with crime after crime and today's mass lawlessness, chaos and mayhem is the result.

@paulh8078 ... well. i think you missed my point. fraud ISN'T protected speech under ANY circumstance. and, in wonderful america, its a law that's NEVER enforced. not against rich people anyway. i commit fraud i go to prison for ten years. the rich commit fraud, they get RICHER! isn't capitalism great?

@corigram ... first - "the fairness doctrine" was revoked, much like internet neutrality was revoked, by the GOP because fairness is the last thing the GOP wants. how on earth can giving more people more voice violate the 1st amendment? answer - IT DOESN'T! reagan and the GOP wanted to stifle free speech not enforce it. they wanted to monopolize the messaging. they're the party of corporations, corruption and lies. and the reality is it was never enforced in good faith anyway. the corporations chose, for themselves, whether or not they wanted to implement it under any given situation. second - the fairness doctrine had NOTHING to do with fraud. it didn't legalize fraud and revoking it didn't either. the first amendment DOES NOT legalize fraud! FRAUD IS A CRIME - PERIOD! it can't be committed by govt, the news media or business, or lawyers, or doctors or rich people OR you or your neighbors. ITS A CRIME that's gone unenforced against our ruling elite for 300 years now! that's my point. and i'm the one telling you the truth on this issue! fraud is a CRIME! its time to enforce the damned law!

@chazsmith20 .... "cancel culture" what a joke. the american fascists have been canceling liberal and leftist culture, now, for nearly 300 years. this is why, although the u. s. is a "left" leaning country, we're still ruled by rich fascist/corporatists who own the media, the politicians and the govt at every level. the term "cancel cutlure" was derived from a political public relations firm. these firms are hired to come up with short, simplistic slogans and soundbites to manipulate public opinion. the GOP does this very well. the dems, not so well.

@jdouglas2334 ... odd how when a restaurant violates laws that protect the public health its shut down and the owner held accountable. but apparently the GOP, nazi tv-news and fascist talk radio can do this at will with no consequences whatsoever. when are the dems going to start DEMANDING laws be enforced against the GOP? all the dems do is "forgive and move on" while the GOP show no remorse, continue to commit crimes and show absolutely no gratitude or any desire to reciprocate. the GOP is america's fascist party and the dems are their enablers. this is just one reason i left the "left." and since the "right" is wrong there's no political "side," position or party that represents me. i bet there's roughly 100 million americans who feel the same way. yet, we americans continue to play the game of voting for what we think is the lesser evil. i'm just soooooo tired of playing that game. i won't play it anymore.

@corigram ... the "fairness doctrine" and "net-neutrality" are precisely as i described them. i'm not confused about anything. why on earth would you accuse me of being confused about something i described accurately?

@pefo1674 ... for sure. anyone who thinks the clintons represent "liberalism" have no idea what liberalism is. following the 2016 dem convention fiasco, the dems went to court and said they had no legal obligation to honor the will of the dem voters and select sanders as their prez candidate. odd, but the court agreed. fox news went to court and justified carlson'e lies by saying he was such a "fringe" figure no one could or should take him seriously. odd, how the court upheld that lunacy too. for some reason, our courts don't want to enforce the law against rich frauds and liars. go figure.

@pefo1674 ... but i'll still choose the clintons, if given no other choice, over reagan and trump. that's no contest.
