well, that's only a limited way of looking at it. FRAUD isn't protected speech. never has been. threats of physical harm or violence aren't protected speech. free speech ISN'T just spewing whatever crap you wanna spew. that's not what free speech is about. free speech is about PROTECTING the truth. its about exposing lies and corruption. its about revealing reality and upholding honesty and ethics. americans have a very warped concept of free speech and its time to set things right.

@taq1238 ... thank you for your exuberant affirmation. while possessing the opportunity, let me add; free speech is also about friendly, unhindered debate. if someone is lying to you or threatening you its impossible to have an informed, productive and safe discussion. without free speech how could any social problem be corrected? SEE THE INSANITY TRUMP HAS CAUSED? that's the result of oppressed speech. trump's lies are an example of the violation of free speech. if we really had free speech in this country trump would've been removed and prosecuted years ago! funny how everyone screams their right to free speech is being violated and their only solution is to violate the free speech of another. if we'd stop lying and threatening to kill each other, maybe we could actually EVOLVE into a better society. rather than continually move backwards all the time.

... yes, but who's fact-checking the fact-checkers? the media? the military? the internet? the corporations? your own family, friends and neighbors? just spreading one simple lie can undermine an entire country. just raising unwarranted suspicion can place a dictator into power. we need more than fact-checking. we need a return to a SANE citizenry. one that's not so easily manipulated. not so desperate to reinforce the believes they already possess. we need to decrease our gullibility and our hatred of one another. we need to CRIMINALIZE fraud, fire-hosing and hypocrisy. right now, all these things ARE legal in our corporate and political systems. corporations can lie at will to sell their products and influence elections. politicians can lie through their teeth during their campaigns and once elected do as they please! to change society we must change OURSELVES! teach our children about honor, integrity, honesty and ETHICS! only when we achieve these goals will we find ourselves in a BETTER, less stressful, less frustrating, less divisive, and more productive, more cooperative and more UNITED society.

OR BOTH! its trump's only real election strategy.
