  1. i can't remember if this was mentioned but people in the past used to drink so much alchohol because it was safer than the local water supply. particularly in the major cities. rivers, which supplied most city dwellers with their water, was very dirty, polluted with human and animal excrement and other impurities of city life. thanks for the video.

  2. i can't believe how few people are aware of humanity's past. they aren't even aware of the plague and don't know the "bring out the dead" scene in monty python's holy grail is based on fact. i'll guarantee you that in MANY WAYS people living 500 years ago were smarter and more skilled than the idiots living today. odd but since the industrial revolution, around 1800, humanity has been going backwards. and we're too stupid and brainwashed to realize it. i fear for the future of my species.
