  23.  @txman201  ... surveillance equipment aren't weapons? crowd control technology aren't weapons? tell that to george orwell, ray bradbury and aldous huxley. of course they're weapons. i don't know whether or not artillery came with the tanks but in a domestic situation no artillery is needed. their mere presence causes fear and intimdation and they can be used to run over people. like i said, some of this military equipment cops buy with tax payer funds aren't even used. (but they could be at any time.) they're mainly for intimidation and are just toys for macho, fascist bragging rights. AND the depts with this military equipment are more than eager to loan out this equipment to depts that lack this equipment - for a large fee, of course. but its illegal to militarize the police at all! THAT'S THE POINT i'm making.
