papal history, like all religious history, is soaked in the blood of dissidents and non-believers. odd how religion, even more so than politics, brings out the worst in people. it creates suspicion, fear, social divisions and hate. it also results more in hypocrisy, double standards and situational ethics than reverence, true devotion or actual belief. why are people such suckers? because the zealots, extremists and fanatics keep killing the insightful and smart people who know better. the independent, free-thinking, dissident gene is dying out.

yes we should teach the fact that african history is just as full of greed, corruption, hatred, war and injustice as the history of any other peoples.
let's face it. regardless of your race, ethnicity or nationality the history of humanity is infested with greed, slaughter, mayhem, war and slavery. INJUSTICE, CRUELTY, BRUTALITY and blind conformity, gullibility and stupidity is what has defined our species for over 6000 years.
