  1. people continue to incorrectly put these films in the "horror" genre but they're actually just torture porn. torture porn, slasher crap ISN'T horror! and never was. its designed to shock, sicken and disgust their audience and make a name for the filmmakers for "pushing the boundries" of common decency. the danger of this crap isn't that some nut will re-enact the dispicable acts seen on the screen but that the public will become apathetic and desensitized to the victims of such acts. and with all the brutal video games and films these days that danger is becoming a reality. you have to be REALLY SICK and depraved to find such brutal and inhuman acts as entertainment.
