  7. and, for some odd reason, trump ALWAYS gets his way. it was ILLEGAL for ford to issue that pardon of nixon for several reasons. you can't pardon someone BEFORE a conviction. there's nothing to pardon them for. also you can't pardon someone you know personally or for political purposes. lastly, there's a vetting system for pardons. the vetting system assures us that dangerous felons aren't let loose onto our streets. ford, like nixon, broke the law and in doing so created a dangerous precedent. trump abused that precedent to illegally pardon a bunch of his friends, like roger stone, right before he was FORCED from the white house. the problem with the trump case is that the justice dept waited WAY TOO LONG to bring charges against trump. those charges should've been brought weeks or even days after he left the white house not after the criminal announced his second prez candidacy. because of their delay we NOW HAVE ALL THIS MESS!
