jesus was neither a miracle worker or a magician. he was a combination of a social revolutionary and a religious, jewish zealot. he rebelled against the corruption of the jewish elite and wanted a return to jewish traditionalism that he, and many others, believed the jewish elite had betrayed. but he also denounced some jewish customs as archaic and elitist in nature. for example, he rejected the customary jewish servile treatment of women. he was also a revolutionary in the sense of denouncing the roman occupation of the jewish homeland. so both the corrupt roman and jewish establishment saw him as a social agitator, rebel rouser and a political threat to the established order. jesus wasn't the first or the only person to be declared an enemy of the state during this time. jesus never performed any miracles or magic tricks. these stories were added later in the hopes of turning jesus' social teachings into a pagan religion as writers borrowed stories from pagan religions to add to the narrative. astrological signiicance were mixed with babolonian and egyption mysticism to turn jesus into a god. just look at some of jesus' miracles claimed in the gnostic books and the story lines promoted by the Essenes. the true story and intent of jesus, that is UNIVERSAL LOVE, was corrupted by the new testiment not a reflection of it.
