@jakeleisure8326 ... let me begin by saying - THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS AUTHORITARIAN SOCIALISM. all socialism is libertarian. there's no such thing as libertarian capitalism. ALL capitalism is authoritarian.
some say, communism is the ultimate goal of socialism. its last stage, if you will. a governmentless society where all are equal, with equal rights and thus, economic and political competition that leads to concentrated wealth, envy, greed, corruption and poverty no longer exist. sounds good to me.
to me, for all practical purposes, communism and socialism are the same thing. just look at marx's "communist manifesto." it talks about socialism not communism. he in fact intertwines the two words. i don't hate marx, but i'm not a marxist. marx wasn't a marxist. marx can no more be blamed for the atrocities committed in his name than jesus can be blamed for the horrendous crimes committed in his name.
i'm an equalist, and as such i define both as non-elitist, democratic economic systems. this is how equalism differentiates between socialism and fascism. fascism is any elitist social structure where the elite rule for THEIR BENEFIT and make all the decisions. and socialism is the antithesis of fascism - any non-elitist society where decisions are made democratically for the benefit of all.
EQUALISM OVERVIEW - FASCISM is political capitalism and capitalism is economic fascism. SOCIALISM is economic democracy and democracy is political socialism. its just that simply. no need to convolute it and complicate it any further than that.

Karl Von Eberfeld-Dunquartzhausen ... yes, there has never been a socialist society implemented on a national scale. even if they called themselves "communist." the u. s. calls itself a democracy and it isn't. names mean nothing. you should know that. things are defined not by what they call themselves but by their characteristics and traits.
the characteristics of socialism are, among others, democratic, non-elitist, non-corporate, equal benefit, cooperative and political equality. the characteristics of fascism are, among others, elitist, capitalist, corporate, authoritarian, predatory, exploitive, greedy, competitive, corrupt and oppressive. if you can't see the latter group as the ruling system in every nation and city state in history then you are denying reality.
its as simple as this - why do we need the concept and ideology of socialism if its no different than fascism? that's the stupidest thing i ever heard. socialism was created as the antithesis of fascism. that's the whole point.
its just as simple as that. no need to convolute and complicate things like the oligarchs insist that we do. keep it simple, verifiable and observable. quit playing the elite's game of divide and conquer. quit being manipulated and exploited by one side or the other.

@Richard Roe ... i liked your comment, except for the "sparky" part. was the attempt to demean me really necessary?
to say human nature tends to favor corruption, greed, manipulation, injustice, hate, profiteering, and all the evils of the world is a lie spread by the elite to rationalized their iron-fisted control over the world. ITS FALSE! they claim social darwinism, only the most powerful and wealthy deserve to rule because only they can control humanity's worst instincts through strict authoritarianism.
the reality is, human nature is egalitarian and tolerant. its kind, compassionate, cooperative and empathetic. its not human nature to purposely enslave, abuse or harm other humans. is that YOUR nature? it ain't mine, sparky.
the elite, corrupt people, take power through deceit or force. not through consent. and once they take power, they don't let it go.
furthermore, socialism IS a meritocracy. an egalitarian meritocracy. under capitalism people are forced to work at jobs they hate. where they're abused and exploited. they work at jobs they don't want and aren't qualified for. with socialism everyone is allowed to follow their own path. do want your best at and your gonna love what you do.
and people will posses multi-talents because lifetime training and education will open many new doors for them. under capitalism "burn-out" is a MAJOR problem. people love their work at first and then become dissatisfied, undervalued and stressed. but they stay at their jobs because they're trapped and all of society suffers. with socialism your free to contribute to society through different avenues.
so your arguments have all been debunked for centuries. but i appreciate you not calling names and insulting me - sparky.
