  1. sanders is right. accept we aren't becoming an oligarchy we've been one for 250 years. since our inception. these days the oligarchy consists of a ruling elite and their corporations who own rhe BIG GOVT they've created and use it to enforce their will. if the rich don't profit from it it don't get done! RIGHT NOW i'm denied my right to legally mandated medical care FOR 16 YEARS! I'M VERY ILL, i can barely function, poor enough to be covered by FULL medicare yet i'm denied this legal right at every turn. the corporate owned news media, both local and national, IGNORES this huge story. bureacrats, politicians ignore the law and news media covers-up this story. thanks to our ruling elite affordable housing is non-existant, homelessness and retail crime are skyrocketing. college education is denied us without a life-time of unrecoverable debt. our elderly are neglected and abused daily. americans are routinely denied police protection and lawyer representation. we're not only ABUSED everyday we can't even sue our abusers much less file criminal charges against them. our national wealth is being consolidated into fewer and fewer hands. we live in an oligarchic, fascist, police-state where the rich have all the power, privileges and rights and the rest of us are left to fend for ourselves. man, i've only been exposing this reality for 50 years.

  5.  @JustMe-jc2ft  .... lobbying isn't in the constiution. special interest groups aren't in the constitution and neither are political parties. lobbying came about as a means to curb coruption created through back-room deals and secret agreements. after the watergate debacle it was to make the political process more open and public. of course with every capitalist solution comes dozens more capitalist problems as all lobbying ended up doing was make bribery seem more legitimate. whatever group could raise the most money and buy the most politicians got their way. and NO ONE can out raise corporations so they end up ruling us outright tather than through secret back-room deals.

  7.  @brybryguy6314  ... there's no such thing as a "oligarchy style democracy." you either have one or the other. in the last few centuries oligarchs have learned to disguise their rule through an illusion of democracy. but don't be fooled. americans, as are ALL humanity, are still ruled by a very corrupt, greedy and destructive elite.
